How does Numero's budget tracker work?

Set one monthly limit, limits for categories like food or shopping, or both. Numero fills in your actual spending automatically from bank SMS, Gmail, Outlook, and anything you add by hand, and alerts you when a budget reaches 80% and 100%. It can suggest limits from your last three months, but nothing is saved until you confirm.

Most budgets die in week two. Not because the plan was wrong, but because keeping it up means logging every chai and every cab, and life gets in the way.

Numero skips that part. Your spending is already tracked from bank texts and email receipts, so a budget is just a number you pick. Numero keeps score.

Start with a suggestion if you like: Numero looks at your last three complete months and proposes limits, split the way you actually spend or evenly across categories. Change anything. Nothing is saved until you tap Save.

How it works

Three steps, then Numero does the rest.

STEP 01

Pick a limit

Set a monthly total, limits for the categories you care about, or both. Category limits can sit inside your total, with the rest left unassigned.

STEP 02

Spend like normal

Expenses from bank SMS, Gmail, Outlook, and manual entries count toward your budget automatically. Refunds that land come off what you spent.

STEP 03

Get a heads-up

Numero lets you know at 80% and again at 100%, in the app and as a notification. Budgets start fresh each calendar month.

What Numero catches

Every moment worth knowing.

Numero surfaces only what deserves your attention right now, with a reason attached.

Budget at 80%

Food spending reached 80% of this month's limit — a heads-up while there's still room to adjust.

Budget reached

A monthly or category budget hit 100% — shown in the app and sent to your phone if notifications are on.

Subscription renewed

A recurring charge just went through — with the exact amount and what changed since the last cycle.

Refund still pending

A return was accepted but the refund has not landed within the merchant's stated window.

Paid Subscription Tracker

Find paid subscriptions hiding in your email.

Turn receipts, renewal notices, trial messages, and price changes from authorized Gmail and Outlook accounts into connected recurring-cost evidence.

Cash Expense Tracker

Email-tracked spending, with cash in the same place.

Numero tracks purchases from Gmail and Outlook automatically. Add cash and in-person spending by hand so nothing sits in a separate list.

Frequently asked

Answers before you sign up.

No. A budget is a limit on what you spend. Numero never asks for your salary, balance, or bank login.
